This week Former Aggie, Austin Meade, returned to Aggieland and we were lucky enough to have him stop by MSC Town Hall’s Lunch Box Concert Series and perform for us! Austin began writing music during his time here at Texas A&M University while studying Agricultural Economics. After graduating in 2015 Austin spent the past four years touring but calls the Texas Hill Country home. He loves to come back to perform in college station, saying that it “has something special about it” and loves to perform for fellow Aggies.  He even reminisced about a bit of Nostalgia when thinking back to celebrating his 21st birthday at the Tap and now on his 25th birthday being able to perform at venues he not long ago attended.

He and his band come back frequently to perform at venues like Hurricane Harry’s, however, he said getting the experience to come on campus and perform at Lunch Box Concert Series was pretty unique. Being used to playing at night and indoor venues he and the band especially appreciated the chance to perform in Rudder plaza with the great weather. Austin and the band did not disappoint either, y’all! His country tunes filled academic plaza and drew in quite a crowd.  If you didn’t get the chance to see him perform or want to see him live again, catch him at one of his many shows in Texas. Also, watch for his album “Waves” which will be dropping in 2018!
